For the past 29 years, Mancos has come together to support neighbors who need a little extra help during the holidays. Applications for those in need are for Mancos families only and available the beginning of November at the Mancos Public Library, the Mancos School District, and on the Mancos Giving Tree Facebook page.
Each year, holiday giving ornaments are available at Dolores State Bank, the Mancos Public Library, and Zuma Natural Foods.
Every ornament includes information on how to adopt a local family or purchase a gift for a child in our community. It’s a simple way to spread kindness and ensure local families feel supported during the holiday season.
The Giving Tree team also collects toys, food baskets and monetary donations to help ease the stress of the holidays for Mancos families. Donations are also used to host a Free Christmas Dinner for all in December at the Mancos Community Center.
In 2024, The Mancos Giving Tree made Christmas brighter for 170 people and hosted 60 people for the holiday dinner.
Thank you for sharing the love of living in Mancos and making the season a little brighter!
