MVR’s online auction is back for a second year! We are updating the auction website daily with some amazing items and will go live with bidding starting on August 20th. It’s not too late to donate! If you have a donation, please contact Kim at kim@mancosvalleyresources.com. All proceeds will go to cover administrative costs like rent and tax preparation at MVR.

Dear MVR Supporters:Thanks to all of you who came to our live music event fundraiser at the Mancos Brewing Company. Flashback and the Pete Giuliani Band had the crowds dancing while MBC served delicious wood fired pizzas and beer. Visitors from all over the country donated to MVR and locals thanked us for the work we have been doing in the community. We raised almost $2,000 and had a great time doing it.

Please mark your calendars for Thursday, September 16th when the Mancos FoodShare will be honored as Mancos Valley Citizens of the Year. MFS become our project in 2013 with the intention of reestablishing a USDA Commodities Distribution in Mancos so that residents did not have to drive to Cortez to receive their monthly distributions. They’ve grown exponentially since then and went above and beyond feeding our community during the pandemic. Please join us for this well deserved honor.

Until then, enjoy this Indian summer and pray for lots of snow in the coming months!

Warmly,

Kim Cox
