The 5th annual Mancos Valley River Film Festival is happening at the historic Mancos Opera House on October 14, 2023.

Each year, we celebrate nature and waterways with an inspiring showcase of local and national films. This year we are featuring “The River of Sorrows,” a documentary that follows a two-week pack rafting trip down the Dolores River, a waterway that was once regarded as one of the top three western rivers adventures- now the most imperiled river in the Colorado River Basin.

Join us for a beautiful evening of memorable films, along with a silent auction full of gear and goods. We will also have tasty local tamales and delicious beverages courtesy of Fenceline Cider, Mancos Brewing Company, and VinMarket, as well as a coffee bar from Easy Coffee Roasters.

The Mancos Valley River Film Festival benefits local non-profits in the Mancos Valley, with all proceeds donated to Mancos Valley Resources, a fiscal sponsor for 16 grassroots projects in and around the Mancos Valley.
